Add Half (50%) for wet concrete:= 1.50 Cubic Meter

= 1.50/(1+2+4) = 0.214 Cubic Meter

For 1 Cubic Meter = 30 bags of cement required (1440/50) say 30 bags

Cement = 0.214 x 30 = 6.42 Bags

Sand = 0.214 x 2 = 0.428 Cubic Meter

Aggregate = 0.214 x 4 = 0.856 Cubic Meter

C) How to calculate quantity of cement mortar in Masonry ?

## a) For 1 Cubic Meter of concrete Mix - 1:2:4 (M-15)

Add Half (50%) for wet concrete:= 1.50 Cubic Meter

= 1.50/(1+2+4) = 0.214 Cubic Meter

For 1 Cubic Meter = 30 bags of cement required (1440/50) say 30 bags

Cement = 0.214 x 30 = 6.42 Bags

Sand = 0.214 x 2 = 0.428 Cubic Meter

Aggregate = 0.214 x 4 = 0.856 Cubic Meter

Thickness: 12 mm ThickCement Mortar: 1:4

Quantity: 10 Meter Length x 10 Meter Height = 100 Square Meter

Volume = 100 x (12/1000) = 1.20 Cubic Meter

Add 30 to 35% as bulking of sand = 0.36 Cubic Meter

Add 20 as wastage of sand = 0.312 Cubic Meter

Total = 1.872 Cubic Meter

= (1.872/1+4) = 0.374 Cubic Meter

Cement = 0.374 x 30 = 10.77 Bags

Sand = 0.374 x 4 = 1.496 Cubic Meter

Cement Mortar: 1:6

Quantity: 100 Cubic Meter

Quantity: 10 Meter Length x 10 Meter Height = 100 Square Meter
